Six players see the flop and aces lose more often than they win. That sounds alarming until you compare it with the fair share of one sixth: aces are collecting roughly half the pot when an average hand collects a sixth. Multi-way, equity has to be read against the number of players, never against 50%.

The hands that hold up multi-way are the ones that make big hands: pairs (for sets) and suited connectors (for straights and flushes). Big unpaired cards fall the fastest — ace-king offsuit is 65% heads-up and about 19% against eight.
